The Bolder Boulder 10k race
on Memorial Day
is one of the biggest 10k races worldwide - more than 40.000 runners, joggers, and walkers participate.
Additional to the public race there is a professional race for which a qualification is needed.
The race ends for all participants in the Folsom Field Stadium not far south of downtown Boulder.
The following Memorial Day tribute is said to be one of the
largest in the nation - part of the celebration activities is the presentation of the Nation's Colors, a 21-gun salute,
the recognition of the men and women who are serving or have served in Armed Forces, and Taps. Finally a flyover by four U.S.
Navy jets and the singing of the National Anthem closes the celebration.
