Ullr Fest

— January
This annual week-long celebration of Ullr (pronounced Ooh-ler), the mythical Norse god of snow, brings the legendary Main Street parade, live entertainment and bar series, the UlIr Dating Game, a Nordic party, Ullympics and a family ice skating party to Breckenridge.

Annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships

— January
Each year, teams from around the globe descend on Breckenridge to hand carve 20-ton blocks of snow into beautiful works of art. This event is a family favorite named by USA Today as one of the top 10 ways to celebrate winter.

Mardi Gras Season

Bacchus Ball - This kick-off to Mardi Gras includes live music, dancing, hurricanes, Cajun food, masks and beads and the crowning of the Mardi Gras REX and Queen!

Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Celebration - A touch of “N’awlins” comes to Breckenridge and culminates with a festive procession of floats and lots of heads on Main Street!

Spring Massive

This annual festival is a multi-faceted, interactive event including entertainment, family fun and competitions. The perfct event for spring skiing. Events include live concerts, Bite of Breckenridge, Massive Brewfest, Massive Laughs comedy nights and on-mountain competitions to name a few.

Breckenridge Festival of Film

Since 1980. The Breckenridge Festival of Film celebrates the art and craft of filmmaking. Each year, a unique and varied array of independent films, premieres, receptions, educational programs and retrospectives honoring featured guests takes place high in the Colorado Rockies.

Kingdom Days

Breckenridge’s annual heritage celebration. This event offers a robust line-up of events and activities including historic mine tours, museum exhibits, gun fights, live music, old time arts and crafts, storytelling, historic hikes, kids’ activities and the Annual Outhouse Races.

Independence Day Weekend Celebration

Breckenridge’s Independence Day weekend is filled with patriotic celebration including concerts and activities for all ages.

Colorado Gold Panning Championships

The Gold Prospectors of Colorado present the state gold panning championships and the world dry-panning championships.

Mining and Railroad Weekend

Railroads played a critical role in helping Breckenridge come to life during the mining era and to develop into the town it is today.

Labor Day Weekend Festivities

Events include the Great Divide Arts and Crafts Fair, the Summit Foundation’s Rubber Duck Race and Sidewalk Sale Days around town. This weekend also marks Breckenridge’s Genuine Jazz Festival. Catch the acts during the day at The Village by the Maggie Pond.

The high country’s premier Oktoberfest celebration brings Bavarian food, German brews, lederhosen and Oompah music to Breckenridge’s Main Street. The prestigious Brewmaster’s Dinner kicks off the weekend-long party on Friday night.

Breckenridge kicks off its Holiday season with the annual lighting of the town tree, which brings together guests and locals, every year to rejoice in true holiday spirit.
