Celestial Seasonings

Celestial Seasonings is the largest herbal tea manufacturing plant in the United States, and the free tour offers an exciting behind-the-scenes look at how tea is made.

After a short video, visitors are taken directly onto the plant floor. Here, they learn that black tea comes from the Camelia Sinensis Tea plant, which must be stored separately because of its tendency to absorb other flavors and odors. Herbal teas come from a variety of plants and herbs. Both types are stored in the factory in exotic crates from all over the world.

A highlight of the tour is the mint room - a 20'x30' space filled with eye-watering mint. The intense aroma awakens every sense and most visitors can only stay in the room for a few seconds. Another highlight of the tour is the herb gardens, where hundreds of herbs are beautifully displayed in a formal garden setting.

After the tour, visitors can shop in the gift shop, where all of Celestial Seasonings teas are available for tasting and sale.
