. There’s room for up to 500
in the spacious galleries that feature collections of American and African art,
as well as art of the ancient Americas. At Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center,
the expansive 4.5-acre glass atrium promises an “outdoor” ceremony (with indoor conveniences)
and a charming wedding pavilion in the resort’s Grand Atrium. Built in 1927 as the Orange County Courthouse,
the Orange County Regional History Center has been completely restored and is a lovely spot for weddings—indoors
in the spacious atrium or outdoors in Heritage Square Park.
Getting married in Florida is easy. Couples can go to any county courthouse with
valid identification such as a driver’s license, Florida state ID, military ID, passport or birth certificate and
purchase a marriage license for $93.50, payable in cash, money order or credit card. A three-day
waiting period exists for Florida residents after the license is issued.
The waiting period does not apply to non-Florida residents.
The license is good for 60 days and blood tests are not required.
