Las Vegas

The Barbary Coast

The Barbary Coast boasts a friendly, charming atmosphere, with a plush décor highlighted by grand displays of stained glass and magnificent chandeliers throughout. But what really draws a crowd is its location - and some exceptionally fine dining.

Two of Las Vegas' more popular restaurants are found at the Barbary Coast. Michael's Victorian-style gourmet room is renowned for its intimacy and service. The 50-seat room exudes 19-century luxury, with red velvet and deep mahogany furnishings, lace tablecloths, wingback chairs and the signature 40-panel stained-glass domed ceiling. You'll also enjoy the award-winning menu, featuring a giant shrimp cocktail, rack of lamb, fresh Dover sole and flaming cherries jubilee.

On the more contemporary side, Drai's offers a sophisticated four-section dining area and some serious Continental cuisine. The menu features such gourmet treasures as seven-hour leg of lamb, Chilean sea bass and the sensuous hot chocolate soufflé. After midnight on Wednesday through Sunday, you can stick around for dancing, music, mingling and some extraordinary dining specials during "Drai's After Hours," which lasts until the sun comes up.

Other entertainment opportunities at the Barbary Coast include live music in Drai's cozy "living room-style" lounge, karaoke Monday nights in the casino lounge, and "Pete Vallee as Big Elvis" late afternoons during the week.

The nine-story hotel tower houses 200 rooms and suites, and the casino offers more than 550 slot machines, the full complement of table games and a race and sports book.
