Wynn Resort, Las Vegas
Steve Wynn's latest resort, Wynn Las Vegas, is the first one he's ever
signed his name to (as he proudly says in his television commercial), is currently the most expensive
hotel and casino in the world.
The $2.7 billion property features approximately 2,700 guest rooms and suites.
Nine-foot floor-to-ceiling windows in each of the rooms offer guests sweeping
views of the Las Vegas Strip, the property's mountain lake area and exclusive
golf course, which was designed by Tom Fazio and Mr. Wynn himself.
Amenities include a spa, plush European linens and bedding, flat screen televisions
in both the living and bathroom areas, and high-speed Internet access in every room.
When it comes to shopping, high-end retailers such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Gaultier,
Oscar de la Renta, Graff, and Jo Malone can be found on property.
The hotel also boasts a Ferrari and Maserati dealership. Wynn Las Vegas features nearly 20 restaurants,
with renowned culinary talent such as Daniel Boulud, Alessandro Stratta and Paul Bartolotta.
As for shows, "Le Reve," French for "The Dream," now calls the Wynn Theater, a 2,080-seat venue, home.
Produced by Franco Dragone, the theater serves as the backdrop for the more than 70 performers who move in
and out of a one-million-gallon pool. The domed theater is constructed "in the round," the first of its kind
in Las Vegas. The furthest seat in the 14-row theater is just 42 feet from the stage.
The Broadway hit, "Monty Python's Spamalot" will be coming in 2007.
Wynn Las Vegas will build a 1,600-seat theater for the $50 million show.
The Las Vegas production will span 90 minutes, compared with the approximate two-hour version in
New York City, which won three 2005 Tony Awards, including "Best Musical." The show
is based on the movie, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." It tells the story of King Arthur and the
Knights of the Round Table and their irreverent quest for the Holy Grail.
The property's 200,000 square feet of meeting space has two ballrooms, 18 meeting rooms and two boardrooms equipped with cutting-edge technology.
