Johnson & Wales University's Culinary Institute has an acclaimed influence on this food destination.

Known as the "Smithsonian Institution of the Food Service Industry," this fascinating museum holds more than 500,000 items related to culinary arts and hospitality.

The collection includes antique stoves and kitchen gadgets dating back hundreds of years; a gallery of chefs through the ages; tools of the trade from as far back as 5,000 years; a complete collection of Presidential food-related items; original artwork; hotel and restaurant silver; and historic documents relating to -- what else -- FOOD!
