Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum

Patriots Point, Mount Pleasant's biggest attraction, is one of the world's largest naval and maritime museums. Here visitors may board the aircraft carrier Yorktown, World War II's famous "Fighting Lady" and other permanently moored ships.

The museum also includes the destroyer Laffey, submarine Clamagore, Coast Guard cutter Ingham, a re-creation of a Vietnam Naval Support Base, a Navy Flight simulator, vintage military aircraft, displays and exhibits and the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum.

Patriots Point proudly serves as home to the National Congressional Medal of Honor Museum. Adjacent to the museum is Patriots Point Links, an 18-hole public golf course with spectacular views of Charleston Harbor.
Visitors to Patriots Point may also board tour boats offering trips to Fort Sumter National Monument or informative tours of Charleston Harbor.
