Selena Museum & South Texas Institute for the Arts Museum

Selena Museum
One of the area's newest and popular attractions is the Selena Museum.
To please fans from around the world who were showing up the door of the family business, Abraham Quintanilla decided to build a museum honoring his daughter's memory.
The museum displays outfits and dresses Selena wore at concerts and award shows, each her own design.
There is also a newspaper slipping of her as the fifth grade spelling bee champion as well as a display of beautiful painted and bedazzled eggs Selena collected as a hobby.
Other exhibits include music awards, a Selena movie script, her red Porsche and other personal memorabilia.

The museum's emphasis has been placed on artists associated with the state of Texas.
