Salt Lake City

Downtown Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City is a city of charming neighborhoods with tree-lied streets, inviting cafes, intriguing architectural details and historic sites.

The city center is the heart of Salt Lake’s shopping experience. The Downtown Malls, Crossroads Plaza and ZCMI Center Mall, straddle Main Street adjacent to Temple Square and are just steps from the Salt Palace Convention Center. Together, the malls feature 230 stores including department store giants ZCMI/ Meier & Frank and Nordstrom. Well known clothier Eddie Bauer, and specialty stores like the US Olympic Spirit Store, Swatch, Borders Books, Massey’s Jewelers, the Souvenir Stop at Temple Square, and Bentley Square, a handmade gift emporium, round out the mall’s offerings

Downtown is also home to Sam Weller’s Zion Bookstore, one of America’s finest and largest full service bookstores specializing in new, used and rare books. Utah ThThand women’s clothing and the personable Oxford Shop provides top-drawer shoes for men just a half block east of the Salt Palace. Next door, Utah Artist’s Hands offers locally made art and gifts. Bennion Jewelers, Utah’s oldest jewelry store, is also located on Main Street, just around the comer from O.C. Tanner, a retail shop for the legendary goldsmith and maker of Olympic medals for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002.
