Hawaii Wedding & Honeymoon

Hawaii was always different from the continental United States even when there beautiful beach locations exist as well. But Hawaii is by far the most exotic tropical paradise and ... a state!
This said, no passport is required for Americans and you can expect that everything is similiar to how life is on the mainland (but without the stress) - and parents often appreciate exactly this circumstances, when their children go on honeymoon.
But Hawaii is not only the premier destination for Americans: couples from all over the world are looking forward to a wedding on the islands or enjoy their honeymoon vacation on the Hawaii Islands.

Getting married on Hawaii means that you can expect most romantical weddings in a gorgeous tropical setting with beautiful flowers and unforgettable sunsets. Couples have the choice to arrange the wedding on their own or to get support from local wedding planners that can be found on every island. They can assist with their experience and suggest romantic wedding packages.
There are no state residence or U.S. citizenship requirements. Blood tests are not required. The legal age to marry is 18 years for both males and females (you must bring a vaild I.D. to proof your age). Check the official Website of the Hawaiian Health Department for further information, also if you're younger.
The prospective bride and groom must appear together in person before a marriage license agent to apply for a marriage license.
Cost for the marriage license is approx. $60 and an application can be downloaded from the above mentioned website, see link futher below.

Honeymooners will just love the Hawaiian Islands! Often it's the first moment after the (often) huge wedding ceremonies at home when the couple finally escapes to enjoy a cozy togetherness.
It's a good idea to spend not too much time in the overcrowded Waikiki.
Try to discover the islands. The two major Hawaiian airlines offer many inter-island routes and additionally you have the choice among smaller local companies that arrange air transport via plane or helicopter to other islands or remote locations.
A rental car is also a good choice since it provides the possibility to discover the island(s) on your own, get to nice vacation rentals somewhere or to reach secluded beaches.
