Location & Visitor Center
Saguaro National Park is divided into two separate parks:

Tucson Mountain District (west of Tucson)
Open All Year 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Christmas & New Year's
The Tucson Mountain District of Saguaro National Park is located 15 miles (24 km) west of downtown Tucson, Arizona. See the "Getting There" section under Travel Basics for detailed directions.
The visitor center is closed on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Thanksgiving.

Rincon Mountain District Visitor Center (east of Tucson)
Open All Year 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Christmas & New Year's

The visitor center is closed on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Thanksgiving.
Most visitors to Saguaro National Park use private vehicles to get around. Public transportation is NOT available within the Park. All roads with Saguaro National Park are open to bicycle use; however, they must abide by the same laws as motor vehicles.

Operating Hours & Seasons
Both districts of the Park are open daily from 7:00 am to sunset. Visitor centers are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Both Visitor Centers are closed on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Thanksgiving.

Camping
No camping in the Tucson Mountain District but in
Rincon Mountain District (RMD): Backcountry Camping Area, open year-round.
Overnight camping in RMD requires a permit fee of $6.00, which can be obtained through the mail or in person at the RMD visitor center. Permits are not available after noon on the day of departure. There are six wilderness campgrounds, which are only accessible by foot or horse. See NPS Website for Details.

Lodging:
No Lodging available within the Park. Check Tucson area.

Fees: Free!
No entrance fee required, however, National Park passes are available in the Visitor Center.

Rincon Mountain District
$6.00/private car - 7 Days
$3.00/individual - 7 Days
$20.00 - Annual (for Saguaro National Park only. It is good for one year from the month of purchase.)
