Horseshoe Bend, Page, AZ

Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona, offers a spectacular view on the Colorado river 100's of feet below you in the canyon.

How to find Horseshoe Bend: Locate the junction US 89 and SR 98 south of Page, AZ, on a map. From this junction you go ca. 1.4 mi south on US 89 and will see a brown sign on the west hand side of the road. Turn west on the short dirt road and reach the parking lot. From there it is a short 3/4 mi walk to the canyon. Page itself is situated ca. 135 miles north of Flagstaff at US 89 (at Jct 98) approx. 9 miles south of the Utah border.

There's not much to tell about this view - the picture should speak for itself.
Go there and enjoy the quietness and the spectacular view. You'll be much closer to the Colorado than you can get at Dead Horse Point State Park nearby Moab in Utah which offers a similar but not comparable view.
