Buffalo Herd - 30 minutes away from Denver

The City of Denver maintains two herds of Buffalos that was once started by bringing a few buffalos from Yellowstone National Park to Genesee Mountain Park which is located just 30 minutes west of Denver.
Genesee, a Native American expression meaning "the shining valley", is one place where you can see the buffalos roaming freely in the Park. Take exit 254 on I-70 (Genesee Park Exit) or take exit 253 (Chief Hosa Exit) and follow the signs. The park is approximately 30 minutes (20 miles) away from Denver.
The other herd is located off Interstate 25 in Daniels Park. Take exit 188 (Castle Pines Parkway) and drive west to the Junction Daniels Park Rd where you turn north.
