Ghost-Towns are distinguishes in 2 different categories Ghost-Town and Semi Ghost Town. Semi-Ghost are still partly inhabited and sometimes even still have a small general store

Boulder County, Colorado.
Category: Semi Ghost.
Approx. 20 -30 min west of Boulder: it's a scenic drive from Boulder to Gold Hill and reveals fantastic views over the mountains.
Gold Hill was the first permanent mining camp in Colorado In 1859 a plenty of gold was found here. Once 1.500 miners populated the area. In the Miners Hotel (1872) you'll find still many pieces of original furniture. The town is still inhabited and has a great General Store which invites for a stop: you'll get meals, coffee and very good homemade cake.

Boulder County, Colorado
Once, this town was one of the richest in the state. One mine produced over 2 Mio. ounces of silver. What to find: many of the original buildings
