Rafting in Colorado
Colorado is one of the main states for river rafting. 13 river systems attract about a half million rafting fans.
With over 60 tour organizers Colorado which offer trips on over 20 river sections, you can choose between relaxed sunday paddle and class V wild water
One of the favorite rivers among rafters is the Arkansas River north of Salida and the Colorado River in Glenwood.
Weekends in particular are booked, up to 400 boats then navigate the desired sections down river.
Try booking your trip during the week.
Class I to Class VClass I means slow flowing and Class V is the highest class, then the river is not considered not navigatable.
Night RaftingOn the Colorado river Rafting trips are offered also in the darkness
Infra-red binoculars are given to rafters to observe the nocturnal wildlife.
With a little luch you can see only bear, beaver and elks.

Trips take about 1:45 plus.
