16th President of the United States from 1861-1865. He was born on February 12, 1809, in Hodgenville, Hardin County, Kentucky. He died on April 15, 1865. Lincoln died the morning after being shot at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. by John Wilkes Booth, an actor who thought that would help the south.
Lincoln moved to Illinois on March 15, 1830, and had there different homes until he eventually left for the White House in Washington D.C. in 1861. Abraham Lincoln
