The classic accommodation in Monument Valley is the former trade post Goulding's Lodge. All room have the perfect Monument Valley view and a small movie theater plays John Wayne movies whi were filmed here.

Day and half-day tours start directly here at the lodge. You can also book self-guided car tours (small fee) and you have to consider road and weather conditions before you go with your car.

The Museum is located in the former trade post and open year-round.
Goulding's is located just north of the Arizona-Utah border, adjacent to the Navajo Tribal Park in Monument Valley, which is aprozimately 170 Miles northeast of Flagstaff and less than 310 miles from Phoenix, Arizona.
It is also less than 145 miles west of Mesa Verde National Park. Within easy traveling distance over paved highways, you will discover such exciting scenic wonders as Canyon de Chelly, Natural Bridges, Arches, Canyonlands and Navajo National Monument. Goulding's is located in the heart of the Grand Circle.

Monument Valley VIEW Hotel

An alternative to Goulding's Lodge is the lodge Monument Valley View which is operated by the Navajo Nation. The VIEW Hotel - the only hotel located inside Monument Valley adjacent to the Monument Valley Tribal Park Visitors Center.
